Shammi Bannu Sharma ji is the son of the late Vedpal Sharma Bannu ji, who is considered to be India's most celebrated miniature painting artist. Shammi Ji explains that his father never really sat him down to give him lessons on painting techniques. It was only by observation and experimenting himself that he could master the traditional art form. He believes in working on creating themes and compositions in his miniature artworks.
