Chandrakant Chitara, is one of the leading names in the Indian folk art industry. Along with his brother Kiran Chitara and nephew Kirit Chitara, Chandrakant ji has been actively involved in creating the traditional art form Mata Ni Pachedi. Chandrakant Chitara has been awarded Shilp Guru for his commendable work in the promotion of Mata Ni Pachedi through his paintings. Kiran ji and Chandrakant ji are the carriers of spiritual art forms which were once considered to be a tribal art form of the Wagheri community. Kirit ji has learnt this art under the patronage of his uncle Chandrakant ji.
